I asked this on the pic thread too, but does anyone think that the idler arm holes may be fixed with long Mopar side mount shocks?... Im trying them like this.

Would still run Metric Caddys if I could get away with that. With all the favoritism towards Fords it would be nice to see GMs allowed to reinforce to the engine cradle.

22 inch from center of the axel and 1/4 think With those rules youre golden. Not sayin the ass end will be a tank, but it will hold out a hell of a lot nicer than stock. I would still double notch and tuck the trunk. And probably get creative with some body shaping. Just my opinion.

Anyone got pictures of a bubble style caddy frame? Not much different than an 80's frame... I've got a smoking clean 94 sitting in the yard if you want to make the trip up to buy it. Don't look like I'm gonna be running this year, 2 blown out disks in the old back...

We actually just ran that car I was talking about, I seen no difference in that compared to other metric Caddys. It performed the same too...

I'm going to be switching to 80's and newer from running old iron and i want to build a caddy to see if it can hold up against all the vics. What are the better years of caddy's to build? I've never built one before.

I've never built one before. They are all practically all the same. Frames are a little different on the 77-79 and they also have better clips IMO but nothing that is going to change the outcome of the show. Hope your rules let you build a good caddy of you want to compete with well built Vic's.
