^ I haven't found fuel shutoff on anything but Fomocos yet. And Saturn Views which were made by Kia. One of the reasons their lazy asses went broke. Saturn was a good car company for a while. Picknicks in Tennessee and all that "I love my car" stuff. But they got lazy and assumed that consumers were ignorant and wouldn't know the difference. They were painfully wrong.

I just picked up a 83 Cadillac 4 door car for free. It's my first Cadillac derby car build. The rules are pretty much "limited weld stock." Meaning no reforcing frames, no more then 5 lugs, ect. My question is, is it a good idea to attempt to make this car. I have about a month to get it done. It has the ht4100 engine in it. I don't even know if it even turns over yet. Or would I have better luck fixing up my 76ish chevy biscayne. It got pretty beat up from last years derby due to I only had a week to get the car done, and only having forward gears. Any thoughts or opinions would be appreciated. I currently have a 454 in my biscayne that I can swap into the caddy if I have to.

The 4100 in the caddy is probably one of the worst engines ever made, they had terrible head gasket problems due to having an aluminum block with iron heads.
They are decent cars, fronts are pretty good, rears like to go down if not notched and tucked.
Is the frame hurt on your 76?

I'm not sure about the frame on the 76. I haven't really touched it since the derby. The front might be a little tweaked, but I think it can still be put together.

I have two 350 engines laying around. I know one engine has a spun bearing and the other just needs the rear main seal cover put back on. And I can always go out to the junk yard to get an engine also.

I think the caddy with a 350 in it would be your best option

Finish off the biscane. Then find a sbc and then put it with the biscaine transmission and possibly the rearend and put it in the caddy.

How strong are the 200r4 that are in the caddys? And the trans in the biscayne lost reverse when I was pulling it out of the shop the day of the derby.
