What all has to be changed to to put 74-76 gm sedan a arms on a 76 Caddy? It isn't possible without considerable fab work. The setup is entirely different because the caddie rear is offset to one side. It is easier to change the brackets on the housing itself to make the caddie arms fit it.

^^^ Goines... i believe he is talkin about swappin the a-arms from factory caddy... to 74-6 chevy a-arms...
in my personal opinion, no need to swap a-arms... but there are a few tricks to get a few more inches of height..
personally, the 73 we built sat 20" to bottom of the bumper.. all we did, was cut the rubber stops... jacked it up.. and welded the arms down... this was hardnosed by the way.. no shock, etc.. just altered the shock/coresupport mount, and welded/bolted it back in factory spot... bolted core support up

My bad, I thought he was tslking rearend arms. But I agree with Shake-n-bake on the front end. 20 to 22 inches with just the arm welded down and hardnosed is what you normally get. You can get a little more by being "creative" under the upper a arm before welding it down though.

Okay so are u guys replacing the ball joints with bolts and that eliminates the interference with the rims up front if they bend? and also if u use the upper trailing arm mounts off of the caddy rear do they get on to the cast portion of a regular 10bolt rear it looks like it in the pic on the first page and if they do is it a problem

Ok, I have read that 20 t 22 in. for height for the front bumper what are you guys looking at on height for the back bumper? building a 76 fleetwood for the first time this year.

Has anyone cut the package tray out of 71-76 gm sedan and welded it into caddy? Did it fit/work good?

In my experience they don't belly like a 73-74 will. They pinch the frame inwards in between the a arms and the firewall.
