From the top of the frame to the bottom of the core support how big of a space should I use, can suck body solid to frame but was thinking I shoule have a small space at firewall and then larger ones at the core support, obviously I would also have a spacer in the middle body mount up front too.

I do things different than most. I run two inch spacers from the humps to the firewall. For transmission and rear tire clearance. Then one inch or less at the radiator support and rear frame by rear bumper. Then 1.5 or whatever fits the second to hole in the back. Depends on how much the dimples moved the frame. I cut the bottoms of my fenders so they slide behind the front doors. The car ends up looking tilted. But it's just the front clip is angled down. It's all personal preference. I just don't like my hood any higher than it needs to be. Just my opinion.

I see your reasoning, I was thinking a 1-2 inch spacer at core support and half that at firewall, then solid back but I’m not sure yet. I’ll have to look at some here at the next few derbies we are going to.

What are the best springs to use in the back of these? Was thinking either the doubles springs I have or just go with big block fronts. Trying to get the car to sit level or have the rear just a hair lower, using 25 galaxies on Mazda’s on back and 550-15’s on the front on tracker rims for fronts, 70’s ford spindles and a arms.

As much as the rules allow. Depends on bumper bracket/plate rule too.

As much as the rules allow. Depends on bumper bracket/plate rule too. New Yorker pointy, rules say to factory body mount hole but it’s a caddy, 12 inches of plate bumper back now minimum frame length like bash

With protectors they bend arms forward. Once you figure out how to stop that they bend in the spring pockets. Once you figure that out then they bend at the idler arm holes. They all bend somewhere. Usually wherever you stop welding. The specific rules/inspectors determine where they bend. But they are hard as hell until they bend. JMO
