Building a 1970 caddy but want to stick a 9in under the back. This is the first time building a rear end for something like this, also we cant run braced rear ends. Im looking for pictures of how everyone has set up their 9in's for their caddys

ZTR uppers is probably the easiest way. Otherwise you have to put different ears on your rearend

So is 69 the only year between 68-72 that the rear frame is enclosed? Or are the 70s enclosed too? I had a 72 that wasn’t..

71-2’s are not but it’s also not hard to do at all, 69/70’s are the only good year caddies that have a potential to have a “tow package” type bracing like mid 70’s Buick’s and olds. But then there is also thick hump caddies, and I’m not sure what years qualify for that, our 75 fleetwood has the thick humps but I’m not sure when is begins and ends year wise

I have a 71 Coupe. Curious to how these hold up in a show where you can’t close the ys up. I have one show in my area where I can close them up but more shows around me that are bolt and chain. Don’t want to completely waste it.Thanks

And guessing by your name your from Eastern KS where their bolt and chain rules are pretty damn stock
