My new derby car for the 3 of July derby in Waterville WA. 1986 Caprice I'm hoping for the best out of it! As you can tell we like to build theme cars. The kids seem to reallyget a kick out of it. Attachments:

I am happy with it too, but it was just a little too soft. I didnt know just how hard or soft to build it since this was my first time being allowed the hump plates. Next time I will probably try a soft bumper on the back and a few more spots of #9 wire. Build it just a little harder and see what happens. Overall, it was an experiment gone well though.

They are just letting us do it too... Major learning experience IMO... I built a bubble GM with them and built it hard, it did good but still bent at the humps... Built a Box GM and it was built softer, and it did awesome and never bent the humps

Yep, there is definately a happy medium to find. But once you do find it, I think these can be decent cars in the back. Another thing to consider is that the humps are different between wagons and sedans. I think the hump plates help the wagons more because of the way the humps are shaped. IMO
