Would a 72 Monte and 72 grand Prix fall under this category?

^No, they are their own thing. Never ran one myself seen one ran. I've been told they arent worth running though.

I would pass on them even for 300.

Thanks guys we-crash.proboards.com/thread/14476/sbc-build-tips. Joker's post I saved from the old website in the first ten pages is a good start for a budget build.

73 lesabre coupe...front bumper mounting...hardnosing just don’t seem like enough up there to hold it on,plus the B.O.P hole seems it’ll blow faster...running the stock bracket with a shock kinda above the frame, looks like it’ll fold up fast after the shock...I under stand it’s gonna bend no matter what...I was thinking of taking the stock bracket, moving it down, and back..it’ll still bolt up with 2 factory bolt holes, plus I’m allowed just a little welding...by moving it down,it’s pretty even with the frame, and back a little will get the bumper closer to the radiator support...I’ve got plenty of bumper height with the tires I got...what’s y’all opinion on this....if hardnoseing, rules say bracket and shock must be removed

Weld what you can.

The only "railroad" bumper I've ever heard anything about was the olds, not the Buick. I look at one I had and threw it in a scrap pile.

What's a good bumper for a 71 delta 88? Any quick tips other than basic build tips for the car?

It's hard to go wrong with a 74-6 Impala bumper, 74-7 Monte/Malibu, or 76 olds on an stockish GM build in my opinion.

71 delta 88. Leave the stock bumper skin on back or replace with more heavier back monte bumper?
