I've dimpled behind the full frame about 6 inches, tucked decklid and left the stock side bracket on the front and hard-nosed 74-76 on and have had good luck with that. Had a 76 deuce on 73 4dr olds once, front went straight up, 74 impala on 73 4dr duece once same but not quite as bad, I think I'll put a 75 impala front on the next one. Love these cars, I need a clean fresh one

Forgot to mention... Stock horns/sidebrackets will shear off if your rules don't allow you to put some good welds there as well. And still not as good as 74-76 horns

I just used a 72 98 with a 76 chevy rear bumper. I have bad kinked hump, but I don't think it was the bumper's fault. The trunk was not tucked deep enough.

This needs to be stickied on this thread to eliminate some repeat questions.
Follow these rules for 1-3 sedans. 1. Change front bumper/brackets. 2. Always tuck the trunk. 3. Don't cut the C-channel frame. Just heat and dimple. 4. Ready rod in the trunk through the frame is important.
Do all these things then ask if you have specific questions. There are a couple exceptions to the bumpers. 73 olds and pontiac are good to use if you change/modify the brackets.

You do not need heat to dimple a c-channel car...just an adjustable (cresent)wrench

I ran this 72 olds 98 this year. I bought it already built. The trunks need to be tucked deeper than this. I had a kinked hump because it would not roll up. So tuck'em deep. I'd like another one of these cars to try again.
