beat the "d" pillars in and smash the roof down into the back then cut a hole in the roof so you can see out of the back

no i dont use shocks i beat round stock into the frame to make it tougher the n weld bumper on directly to frame ah, we aren't allowed to stuff the frame like that. I'll have to stick to cans or see if I can use a piece if steel for the bumpers I have that don't have cans.

I have a little under a year to build this car, so im just trying to make sure i do everything right and take my time. Id rather have a strong car and do better, than be done in 10 minutes. I was also wondering if i should cut the ends of the bumpers off, or if i should just curl them in?

Wanna thank everyone for the tips and suggestions. I got my first win in our local stock class with my wagon!!
It rolled up nice at the first notch but started to bend down at the second notch. The way it looks to me, I had the second notch to far back towards the rear. Anyone ever run into something like this? Seems to be a simple fix for the next run though.
Thanks again!!!!!

Do you have access to a loader to bend the frame back up? If not put it on a car trailer chain car down and jack up the frame behind the notch. Prebend as much as you can if not it will continue to go south. Congrats on the win

Congrats on the win hell even im more redneck than that lol, we got this big ass tree we plan on using. that and a huge drop off and a field with terraces. And by D pillars, those are the very back pillars right? just got offered an '88 Caprice Classic that has a 350. runs and drives, just beat up for $500, good deal? I was planning on getting it and sedagoning it, notching, pre bending, welding a arms forward, putting my 12 bolt rear in it, running on DDOT rules if it helps. its that or an olds delta 88. 80's+ show.

collapse your shock cans then blow a hole all the way threw them big enough for 3/4 allthread then do it to the bumper then bolt it all together and install on car weld what you can then go have fun bumper wont fall of that way! as for the rear where it starts going down hill slice and role it up flat reweld and grind so it looks good and leaf or run hump plates and once again go have fun.

^^^^^ I would suggest in not mounting your springs like that in the front. When the car bellys it will drag in the mud and catch everything on the track. been there done that, its what took me out by making the trans over heat.
