One of the promoters that I deal with runs compact and midsize together. First thing the rules say is 4 or 6 cylinder, no full frame cars. Nothing about fwd/rwd, and nothing about wheelbase limits. Another place I run doesn't even say that. The one show I ran that doesn't mix compacts and midsize together wasn't as fun to me. Kinda kills the class too, since there isn't as many cars in the heat.

I think I would take a early 70s Impala with a straight 6 or a 74-76 midsize GM with a v6.

^^^No full framers. First thing went through my head was 4.3 or 2.3 in a 80's Dippy/5th Ave, 70's Aspen/Volare or 60's Coronet, then 58-66 T-bird or Sui.

Around here it has gone to 108 and or fwd for chain stock classes for the most part. The more weld classes are open to RWD. I dont like taking my smaal stuff FWD orRWD up against w boddies. So i have started building Ws too. I have found one show a ways away that has a 104 and under class and I like to run there. I also saw a new set of rules coming out from 1goose that divide it as subframe cars vs non subframe cars. It would be interesting to see.
