Fullsize Truck frame question. If my rear half of the frame cant be straightened, can we cut the rear half and weld a new half on? I see no "frame repair" rules. I believe that's a little important if guys want to bring pre-ran trucks, in my opinion. We had 2 trucks that had to cut to run last year. This post, was not meant to be ignorant at all. I'm just asking now, because I know a few that will be asking the same thing once they see the rules have been posted. Rules are rules, and I respect them...thanks for posting them!

...it also don't help when you have a 96 f250. Those damn coil springs smh. Oh well, it was a good 1st ride. Going to try to keep it going for a couple more though. Thanks for pointing that rule out, I was just looking for some frame repair related rules, but that pretty much covers it I guess. Thanks again

Kind of ignorant not to allow frame repairs. That's literally the dumbest thing I've ever heard. I'm sure there are very few preran cars at your shows.

So, if he cuts, and butt welds the frames together, then it is no stronger than it was before. Common sense. A good tech crew can judge if too much was done to fix a car. I actually thought about bringing a truck to your show this year but definitely not now, given I have to shorten my frame between the cab mounts to make my existing setup work. Structurally it'll be the same, or possibly weaker.
