The tilting thing is tough. It seemed as though most of the cars were tilted slightly. I think in the future they just need to allow tilting because it's hard to enforce that. Mr. Rose, I'm not sure that tilting had much to do with you guys getting rocked though. When in one hit your teamate's rear frame rails are dragging the ground it's not a good sign of things to come.... klicky96 well done sir. honestly I never even looked at our team car #13.my own son told me the frame snapped on #13.I do know the 2 bubbles were clean cars and if they were tilted like the rest, would of been a totally different outcome. My front bumper was not the right choice probable. but I did see another car with same bumper and never bend. Lesson learned I guess .lol

Definitions: Tilted - Cutting frame welds at crush boxes, pulling down the front frame rails at crush boxes, re-welding the welds that were cut in step one. (Not permitted in rules).
Cold bending - permanently bending the frame, typically performed within the center rails of the frame to flatten the front frame rails. (Not permitted in rules).
PER THE RULES, you are permitted to have a core support spacer. May be 2x2 tubing, 6-in. tall and welded to the frame. Majority of the cars utilized this and many of the other written rules to make the best car possible.
Unfortunately, a couple teams did not utilize the rules to the potential and their cars suffered.

The 13 cars frame didn't brake it was a real clean caddy it just bent at the notch but it did brake the stock bumper shock. But when u ask some of the drivers (Not mentioning any names) if they tilted they said yes bc when they posted the check list of what the inspectors were looking for that was not on the list. Good for everybody that got away with it bad for us guys who built to the rules

Good show guys! Definitely a success for the first year. I'll have to see about bringing some junk for next year. Good show guys ? Hope that is toward the drivers only ? Inspection/rules were BLANTLY NOT ENFORCED !! "FRAME MUST BE 100% STOCK. Tilting, cold bending, plating, seam welding, reshaping of frame is NOT permitted. Only modifications stated below are permitted." Pretty sad our team built to the rules and junk the 3 cars under 10 minutes.90% of the other cars front ends are still straight. Bill M explain that one to me ?? So much for this : OUR PROMISE Provide fair and equal treatment to ALL participants. Develop and ENFORCE competition rules and safety regulations. I didn't look at anybodies frame that closely and I was only a spectator but from what I saw all the cars were on a pretty level playing field. I did notice that a couple of the cars that were at least in the feature were 03+. If they were willing to take the risk of having weak suspension components to have a better frame and succeed, good for them. And if I'm not mistaken the team you lost to were all nosed to some extent or another by the end of the feature. That is a good crew and you know it. If they missed something, no one else would have found it either.

This was my first time running a show put on by Bill. When it's a show of this caliber you expect to push the rules and take a chance on getting caught. Many well built cars showed up with black perfect frames and a hard to beat driveline. Learn from what you saw walking by the cars. Hard to inspect so many cars of friends and family and keep it fair knowing what they did

Was definitely a fun time. Could have hit a bit harder if the track wasn't so wet, but it wasn't too bad given the circumstances.

Guess we donate $300 for a learning lesson. NEVER HAPPEN AGAIN !!!!!

There were also cars that didn't even have a pulley protector. It's a little hard to use your sway bar to hold the front end down when you don't have a pulley protector.... Good point but..... A team member did and it still went to the sky .

You talking about the 13 car? When you're getting blasted in the corners because you can't move because your rear frame rails are on the ground, it doesn't matter if your car is tilted or not. I'm not sure what you're wanting?... If you guys are waiting for your participation trophies it's not going to happen... You guys were underbuilt and the results showed that. There were a lot of the best builders, drivers and drivetrains competing. It just wasn't going to happen. You can continue to cry about it, or admit that you got beat by better competition.... First off I'm not talking about the 13 car. If I want to cry ,bitch, whine what ever you want to call it to prove a point, I will. If you or anybody else does not like it come and say hi to me sometime !!!! I have no problem admitting we were underbuilt and got our $hit junked/well almost. But we all expected a fair shake but that was our fault for building to the rules and not cheating and not trusting ?? Where was you car ? Got my point across end of discussion .
