What's the normal size battery cables guys are running? Looking for answers from fullsize guys that build to win and spend $$. Don't be a dipsh!t and say "semi battery cables" give me a gauge size so I can get a rough estimate on prices.
Looking to possibly get into making and selling top of the line battery cables, if there's an interest.

I buy rolls of amp power cable that you would use for your stereo amp. It's 4 gauge. I crimp and solder the ends. I've never had a problem. And that's with using two 1000 cca semi batteries.

I thought 2/0 is what I heard. Crimp AND solder? If properly crimped (not a vise or hammer) isn't soldering redundant?

I buy 2/0 from Oreilly and put the nickel ends on them. I run a side post battery from Oreilly.... Think it's like 550cca..... But in 6 runs this year my engine only died twice.... 2 wins.... A 3rd.... And in the feature the other 3 times.... A good carb and a Wilson alternator goes a long way fellers

I use 2/0 and occasionally 4/0 with crimp on ends.

Sounds like 2/0 is the size everyone is using. Thanks guys. Now, to just find the guys willing to pay hundreds of dollars for the most bad as battery cables...

2/0 gauge,i'd used it in fullsize and now use it in my W-'s. Also heavy welding ground cable can be used.
