Bash for Cash 2013 Heat 3 TBTC. My white buick broke both uppers and the pinion was eating dirt...never had an issue with brakes, just couldn't figure out how to stop the gas pedal...hahaha

I don't know how many, if any of you run Mopars. But where the floor is reinforced on the back for the pinion snubber pad there's a dip there in the floor and I've noticed that if you chain the rear down too tight it can bounce enough to smack the floor. Not a huge issue but in guessing $hit could get real in a hurry if you broke the two caliper mounting bolts. I haven't broke mounts but I can tell where it was hitting on the last one I ran

I go through a set of pads a derby. Anyone have this problem? At mayhem I cooked the rotor it was so hot. I drive with my foot by the pedal but it seems even the slightest pressure and it's engaged? Should a guy grind some of the pad off?

Quit using the bRakes so much than! Lol jk joey... I know better... Yeah I'd grind a little but off it is your caliper "floating" or hard mounted to case? Think a caliper hard mounted to case would benefit over a caliper that is mounted on slide pins?

I built mine with slide pins and it works great I did grind the pads a little though.

HAHA! Knew that was coming. Mine is on sliding pins and first time it was both pads and now this time was none caliper side. Do you guys just use a grinding wheel on them?

Hard surface wheel will work and dont breatbe that crap in! but I'd look more into possibly bleeding the caliper again to ensure there is no air in there that could have gotten traped to keep your caliper sticking frpm returning with out pressure. I'm sure you do it right the first time, but shoot happens so ya never know

I have a postal mopar pinion brake with 6 runs on it and pads are still almost new and I never modified anything or grinded the pads. IDK?

Not that they scare me or anything like that, but man ive had them come to bite me. Nothing like trying to chase a unneeded problem. Pinion Brakes are awesome. Buy from a reputable dealer, bolt it on, and dont look back.

Nothing easier than one bleeder and a good aftermarket pedal/master bleeding brakes is now 2minutes and better brakes than ever possible. As far as driveline goes. I can shift at full throttle with out hitting brakes when things get hectic and I've yet to twist a slider (also hanson) or have any issues with rear end or pinion brake

Do u remove the rear brake shoes and associated parts minus the drum if u switch to the pinion brake?

Specifics on Postal Pinion setup, caliper is bad, not getting the best response, as calipers are for sale through Postal. But, I am in need a caliper like yesterday. 2000 Ford escort??
