Any year hardtop 2 or 4 door automobile or station wagon is allowed. No Chrysler Imperials or Imperial frames 1973 or older. No trucks, jeeps, hearses, limousines or 4x4’s. PREPARATION 1. All glass must be removed. (windows, taillights, headlights, etc.) 2. All exterior chrome moldings, wipers, grills, plastic bumper covers, fiberglass etc. must be removed. 3. All carpet, interior moldings, rear seats, headliners, door panels, anything flammable must be removed. BODY 1. Doors must be either wired, chained, banded or welded shut. Drivers door may be welded solid all other doors may be welded using a 3 on 3 off pattern. Metal strapping for doors can be 3x3x1/8” max. If you choose to wire, chain or band your doors shut you can do so in 3 spots max cannot go around the frame. 2. It is recommended you have a four point cage. Max size is 4x4x1/4” one bar across the dash, one bar behind the seat and two adjoining bars. End plates cannot be larger than 12”x12”x1/4’. Rollover bar is permitted must attach to rear seat bar and run straight up and over the roof and back down. 3. You must have two windshield bars they must attach to roof and cowl area, can use wire, chain or metal 3” wide 1/8 “ thick. One rear window bar is allowed 2x2x1/4” square tubing max welded no more than 4” on roof and welded to speaker deck panel. (cannot be welded on trunk) 4. NO GAS TANK PROTECTORS ALLOWED! NO KICKERS ALLOWED! 5. Wheel wells may be trimmed, rolled and folded for clearance. 4 bolts per wheel well. Maximum 3” washers and ½” bolts. 6. Hood and Trunks must be fastened shut with wire, chain or banding 6 locations maximum, sheet metal to sheet metal only. Hoods and Trunks must be open for inspection. Hood must have a 10”x 10” hole cut in it. 7. No wedging or dipping of trunks. Quarters must remain stock height. You may tuck your trunk. Minimal body creasing is allowed. 8. Original gas tank must be removed and not used in car. Must have a metal boat type tank mount in middle of rear seat area and cannot move. Must be covered. 9. One battery mounted and covered on passenger floor. SUSPENSION AND FRAMES 1. No Frame swaps. Frame must be for that make and model. 2. No frame welding anywhere. No frame creasing or shaping. 3. No tilting any frames. No hump plates. 4. Rear frame may be dimpled or notched. 5. Bumpers can be any year OEM car bumper. No loaded bumpers. No seam welded bumpers. Must use factory mounting hardware for that make and model car you are running. Bumper may be welded to bracket and bracket welded to frame OR you can hard-nose the bumper to the frame with a single bead of weld. (If you chose to hard-nose the bumper, you cannot use the bracket/shock). 6. Original body bolts may be replaced with ½” bolts and 3” washers max size. You must have at least a 2” gap between the body and the frame. (THIS WILL BE ENFORCED!!!) 7. Cars MUST BOUNCE! NO LOCKED SUSPENSION! 8. Suspension must remain factory. No leaf conversions. Factory leafed cars must remain factory leafs. No added clamps, no solid shackles. 9. Factory OEM steering components. No aftermarket spindles, ball joints, or tie rods. Aftermarket steering columns allowed. ENGINE AND TRANSMISSION 1. Any motor/transmission combo is allowed. 2. No engine protectors of any kind allowed. NO distributor protectors, pulley protectors, front plates, or mid plates. 3. You may have an engine cradle for mounting the engine (No thicker than ½”) Must bolt directly to engine and to motor mounts. Motor mounts may be bolted or welded to cradle. Cannot reinforce frame in anyway. 4. You may have an aftermarket shifter and gas pedal. 5. Transmission coolers are allowed. Must be securely mounted in car. All lines must be double clamped. 6. You can have slider drive shafts. 7. You can have a 5 lug or 8 lug rear end. Must be mounted with factory car trailing arms. TIRES AND MISC. 1. Max 16” tires 2. Any tire pattern allowed. May be doubled. 3. No screws, bead locks, or solid wheels. 4. Valve stem protectors allowed. 5. Radiators must remain in stock location. PRE-RUNS 1. May have up to 4 fix-it plates on pre-run cars. MUST prove frame damage. Plates may be 4”x4”x 3/16” Max size. 2. Frame rips may be stitch welded back together. 3. Body rips and holes may be patched with same thickness metal and stitch welded. This should be a great show guys. We have some good rules out and great payout. Hope to see everyone here.
LIMITED WELD RULES
1. All cars must remain stock unless otherwise noted in these rules!!!
2. You MUST comply with all safety and general rules.
3. Types of cars a. All American made cars allowed except the following: i. NO 1973 and older Imperials or Imperials sub frames ii. No Jeeps, Suburbans, limos, or smashed top wagons.
4. CAR PREPARATIONS a. All glass, plastic, fiberglass, chrome molding, door handles, mirrors, etc. must be removed.
b. All flammable material must be removed, such as carpet, upholstery, headliner, and back seats. Cars must be swept clean.
c. All decking in the rear of station wagons must be removed.
d. All cars must have working brakes.
e. Maximum of 2 batteries (any size). Must be mounted on passenger floor board and covered.
f. Original gas tank must be removed. Metal boat tank or metal fuel cell may be used. Tanks must be mounted in the center of the back seat area.
g. All cars must have an air filter.
5. CAGES
a. Four point cage, maximum size 6” square, round or c-channel permitted.
b. Halo bar must be attached to rear seat bar or side bars.
c. Halo bar must run straight up and over the roof. NO tilting back to rear door or back window area.
d. Halo bar may be bolted OR welded in 3 spots to the roof using 3” X 3”X 1/4” tabs and 5/8” bolts MAX. CHOOSE ONLY ONE METHOD!!!
e. Front of dash bar must be at least 5” from the firewall and D.P. and 5” above the transmission tunnel. No contouring front bar must run straight across.
f. Back seat bar cannot be any further back than where the rear kick panel meets the floor board.
g. Door bars cannot extend any further then the firewall.
h. 4 square mounting plates for cage are allowed … 8” X 8” max. Plates cannot be tied into any body mounts of any part of the frame.
i. One full floating gas tank protector is allowed … 24” wide O.D. max. NO pinning, welding, bolting, etc. to body, frame, or package tray. G.T.P. can only be attached to rear seat bar.
j. (Two) 4” X 4” max down legs may be installed vertically from cage to sheet metal only. Can be attached to side bars or rear seat bar only. CANNOT go to frame or body mount.
k. Cage gussets must attach to 4 point cage only and cannot be longer than 18” max.
l. Windshield bars can be attached in ONE of two ways:
i. You can have a max of two 2” X 2” X ¼” square or round tubing attached to the halo bar and running straight along the roof and straight down to the front dash bar. (These bars cannot be behind your D.P.).
ii. You can have two 2” X 2” X ¼” square, round or flat, may be attached within 6” of windshield lip area (cannot be behind your D.P.) and 3” max firewall area. CHOOSE ONE OF THESE OPTIONS!!!!
m. Rear window bar on sedans/wagons may only be attached to roof 6” and on speaker deck/trunk lid/tailgate seam 6“ max. Rear window bars on wagons must go to tailgate NOT the floor sheet metal.
n. NO KICKER BARS!!!!
6. FRAMES
a. NO frame seam welding, pinning, creasing, shaping, or welding except where rules permit.
b. Coil cars may have a hump plate. Hump plate must be ¼” X 6” X 22” centered in hump. They will be measured from top center of hump and start no lower than center of frame. Hump plate must be at least 2” above rear end. 1977 and newer GMs can have ¼” X 6” X 30” hump plate measured the same way.
c. No Imperial sub-frame swaps 1973 and older. If car needs re-stubbed or clipped YOU MUST CALL FIRST!! Frame stub/clip must be for that YEAR, MAKE, AND MODEL.
d. Cars with watts link suspension, you may convert to a 4-link set-up. ZTR brackets are acceptable, but no longer than 6” long 4” X 4” box tubing. NO package tray swaps.
e. All cars may be tilted anywhere from cross members forward 3 spots maximum. ABSOLUTELY NO ADDED METAL (ANYWHERE).
f. Frame seam may be welded from transmission cross member forward ½” wide single pass. One seam of choice.
g. Homemade cross members allowed. 3” X 3” angle or 3” X 3” box tubing allowed. Cross member must be within 5” of factory one. Cross member mounts cannot be bigger than 6” long max and 3/8” thick max. Cross member must run straight across. Cross member can only be welded on the ends.
h. One chain link per frame rail, 3/8” max, may be welded to the rear frame behind the axle to be used for #9 wire or chain from rail to rail. ****4 loops of wire or one 3/8” chain max ****
i. No painting of frame.
7. BODY MOUNTS
a. Body mounts may be changed using 5/8” X 8” long max size bolts or all thread. Bolts cannot travel through bottom of the frame.
b. 3” washers max size.
c. Must have a min. of a 1” thick body mount spacer. (3” X 3” max size)
d. You may have 2 extra body mounts. You may place these where you want, but must be from firewall back. They must be done in a factory fashion, following the body mount rule. (Must be marked with a bright color)
e. Core support mounts may pass through both sides of the frame, through core support, and hood. 1” all thread max. **This counts for 2 of the 6 hood bolts **
8. BODY
a. NO INNER SEAM BODY WELDING!!
b. All doors may be welded solid 3” X ¼” strapping max.
c. Drivers door may be reinforced on outside only and cannot extend any further than the door strapping.
d. Hoods must have at least on 10” X 10” opening. You may bolt around the opening with 3/8” bolts max.
e. You may have six 4” X 4” X ¼” plates welded to body for hood mounting purposes. ***Hood bolts 1” max ***
f. Trunks and tailgate may be welded using 3” wide X ¼” thick strapping using a 5” on 5” off pattern.
g. You may tuck, “V”, or wedge trunk. Speaker deck may be removed.*Quarters must be 8” tall at back bumper* *THIS WILL BE ENFORCED!*
h. Station wagons must remove both access panels in tailgate box permanently.
i. Tailgates on wagons may be pushed down and welded using the 5” on 5” off pattern. 3” wide X ¼” strapping.
j. Body line creasing allowed.
k. Wheel lips can be cut and folded (CANNOT be welded) *You may bolt wheel lips using four 5/8” bolts*
l. Sheet metal patching for rust is allowed, but must be factory thickness. **Call First**
m. You can have two straps from your bumper to your trunk ¼” X 3” X 6” max size, OR #9 wire 2 spots, 4 strands per hole.
n. No painting inside of bodies.
9. BUMPERS
a. Any car bumper is allowed. NO homemade bumpers.
b. Must have a chrome shell and backing plate.
c. All work must be done inside.
d. Loaded bumpers on front and back are allowed. (weld them up)
e. You may shorten the front frame back to factory front core support mount where tab welds to the side of frame.
f. Bumpers can be hard-nosed. **Mounting plate for hard nosing may be 6” X 9” X ½” MAX.
g. CHOOSE ONE OF THESE THREE OPTIONS ONLY!!!
i. 12” bumper bracket
ii. 12” bumper shock inside frame 2” max **FRAMES WILL BE DRILLED TO VERIFY LENGTH OF BUMPER SHOCK INSIDE FRAME**
iii. 12” x 4” x ½” plate.
h. You can have 2 straps ¼” X 3” X 6” from your bumper to core support or #9 wire in 2 spots (4 strands per hole)
i. Maximum bumper height 24” to bottom.
j. Minimum bumper height 12” to bottom.
k. No shortening of rear frame allowed.
10. SUSPENSION
a. Homemade or aftermarket shocks accepted. 1” all thread max
b. Any aftermarket steering or suspension component allowed. (if using aftermarket A-arms ---- CALL FIRST)
c. No upper A-arm bracket swaps. Must use factory A-arm brackets for that car.
d. Upper A-arms may be folded down to frame and welded solid with no metal added OR with a piece of 2” X 3” X ¼” metal welded on the front and back side of A-arm. ONE of these two options will be accepted. (No ball joint protectors welded to the frame allowed)
e. No leaf spring conversions.
f. Coil springs may be held in with wire or chain. (NO welding).
g. If leaf springs are altered, main leaf must remain on top.
h. (7) – 5/16” X 2 ½” wide springs per side max with a 2” stair step.
i. No plug welding of spring pack.
j. (4) – Clamps per side ¼” X 2” X 4” max size.
k. Only the main leaf may be flat stock. (call with questions)
l. Rear end must remain on top of leafs.
m. No flat leaf packs.
n. Factory like shackles. No solid shackles. Must be bolted to frame.
o. Sway bars can be bolted or welded to lower A-arm and mounted directly to bottom side of frame using a piece of 2” X 4” X ¼” plate or tubing.
p. No homemade sway bars. Factory OEM automotive only.
11. DRIVELINE
a. Any motor, transmission, or rear end of choice is accepted.
b. D.P., engine, cradle, transmission protector, ultra bells, rear end back braces, and sliders are all accepted. The transmission can only be bolted to the cross member using one 5/8” bolt max size (just as factory intended) If when mounting engine to the frame, be careful not to make a gusset from the inner frame rail to the backside of the frame cradle.
c. No protector wider than the headers.
d. You may plate the tranny pan. Nothing connected from the tranny shaft to mid-plate or to cross member. No braces under tranny.
e. You are allowed 2 engine mounts. Each engine mount cannot be larger than 9” X 9”.
f. You can have two chains 3/8” X 18” long max size (standard chain) you may weld two links to the frame and chain may be bolted or welded to engine. Chain links cannot be welded together to create a kicker.
12. WHEELS/TIRES
a. Maximum wheel and tire can be no larger than 7.5 X 16.
b. Tires can be any tread design and any ply ranting.
c. Screwed, glued, doubled, tripled, and foam filled tires accepted.
d. Valve stem guards, rim guards, bead locks, side wall protectors, and solid wheels accepted. Bead locks are to be max 22” outside diameter.
13. FORD 2003 AND NEWER RULES
a. No bolt in cradles (except for factory alumimum cradles)
b. 80’s and newer Ford, Mercury, or Lincoln Town car engine cradle accepted.
c. Front of engine cradle must be 10” from front side of cradle to closest crush point (square hole on top of frame) using one single pass of weld ½” max.
d. Upper A-arms must be centered in the cradle using 98-02 like A-arm mounting brackets as factory intended.
e. Lower A-arms must be mounted with 80’s and newer Ford car brackets as factory intended.
f. All-thread shocks allowed 1” max. Must be mounted from upper A-arm to lower A-arm. Shocks may not be mounted in any way that reinforces the frame. No ball joint protectors welded to frame allowed.
g. No spring pockets may be added.
h. You may shorten frame back to the front side of the stock core support mount, where the tab welds to the side of the frame.
i. You can have a 2” X 10” bumper shock, 10” bumper bracket, OR 4” X 10” X ½” plate. Any ONE of these ONE of these three ways is acceptable. (Frames will be drilled if bumper shock is used to verify length).
j. All holes in front of frame must remain open. All crush points must remain unaltered.
k. No rear steer. Gear boxes must be bolted to frame as factory intended. May bolt or weld drag link to frame. (No added metal).
l. Sway bars can be bolted or welded to lower A-arm and mounted directly to bottom side of frame using 2” X 4” X ¼” plate or tubing. Factory OEM automotive sway bars only.
m. Frame may be tilted anywhere from cross member forward. NO ADDED METAL!!!
14. MISC.
a. Expanded metal may be used on core support, 1/8” max. May be bolted or tack welded.
b. Air conditioning condensers can be bolted or wired in 8 places only. 3/8” bolts, 1” washers.
c. Core support to fender bars accepted. TWO ONLY (one per side) 3/8” bolts max. NO WELDING!! 18” long X ¾” O.D. max (Not solid)
d. Radiator must be mounted in factory location using #9 wire, 1”wide banding, ratchet straps, rope, or 2 pieces of 3/8” all thread. No homemade radiators.

Looks real close to the Keystone rules. Good to know there are other places to run those cars.

I believe these rules are very close to ours. To my knowledge these guys are trying hard to put together a good show for everybody. I will be there to Support them. Maybe i finally have a place to run!!

Modified Compact Demolition Derby Rules
1. Any car or station wagon, 4-6 cylinder. RWD cars, not to exceed more than 106” wheel base. FWD cars, not to exceed more than 109” wheel base. No full framed cars.
2. All glass, plastic, fiberglass, chrome molding, door handles, mirrors, etc., must be removed.
3. No broken glass in doors.
4. All flammable materials must be removed, such as, carpets, upholstery, headliners, and back seats.
5. All objects in trunk area, including spare tire, rims, and parts, need to be removed.
6. Car must be swept clean of any loose objects inside the car, and inside the trunk.
7. All of this MUST be removed before arriving at the event.
8. Doors must be wired or welded with a maximum of 3" X 1/4" thick strap. Drivers door may be plated.
9. Hoods may be wired in 6 places or bolted in 4 places. Bolts are not to exceed 1" in diameter and 3" washers. You must have a hole, 12" X 12" cut in the hood, over the carburetor. Cut outs may be bolted with a maximum of (10) 3/8" bolts.
10. Hoods must be opened during inspection.
11. Trunks and tail gates must be wired in 6 places or bolted in 4 places. Bolts are not to exceed 1" in diameter and 3" washers. They may also be welded with a maximum of 3 " wide X 1/4" thick strap. Must have a 10” X 10” hole in center of trunk.
12. Original gas tanks must be removed and cannot be REUSED inside car. Tank must be moved and mounted securely in center of rear seat location. The tank must be mounted securely, and covered with a non-flammable material. If the tank moves at all, it is considered to be "unsecure." Tank protectors are allowed, but it must not exceed 24" wide. All fuel connections must be tightly secured and double clamped. NO PLASTIC TANKS PERMITTED. SAFETY FIRST!!!
13. Electric fuel pumps must have a shut off switch within the drivers reach that is visibly marked, on and off for safety officials.
14. The radiator must be water only.
15. Battery must be located on the front passenger floor, mounted securely, and covered. Battery box recommended.
16. No studded tires, screws, or wheel weights permitted. No restrictions on tread patterns. Double, glued, and/or tube tires permitted. Valve stem protectors permitted.
17. Bumpers can be from any year car. They may be bolted or welded. NO HOME-MADE BUMPERS!
18. You must have a minimum of two straps, welded in the windshield area, from the cowl to the roof.
19. Suspension may be solid in front and rear. No leaf spring conversions.
20. A mandatory 4 point cage, 4" in diameter, A-pillar to A-pillar, B-pillar to B-pillar, and from bar to bar on the inside of the doors. Cage cannot be welded to the frame. A roll bar is mandatory.
21. You may weld 4 straps from top of bumper to core supports. This is not to exceed 3" wide X 1/4" thick.
22. Trunks may be tucked or wedged, but there MUST be a minimum of space of at least 10" between trunk lid and bumper.
23. Roof signs mandatory 20X20.
24. Maximum of 3 returns through inspection. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
25. May have one rear window bar 2X2 square tubing or pipe, or 3”wide X 3/8” thick flat bar. May attach no further than 6” on roof and within 3” of where trunk meets speaker deck.
26. Official’s decisions are final!

10. Hoods may be wired in 6 places. You must have a hole, 12" X 12" cut in the hood, over the carburetor. Cut outs may be bolted with a maximum of (10) 3/8" bolts.

12. Trunks and tail gates must be wired in 6 places. Must have a 10” X 10” hole in center of trunk. Cut outs may be bolted with a maximum of (10) 3/8" bolts. Trunks and tailgates must remain stock and in the stock position.

19. Must be stock compact bumpers on both the front and the back. You may weld two straps from top of bumper to core supports on the front bumper. This is not to exceed 4” wide X ¼” thick. Must be factory mounting bracket, bumper may be welded to bracket to frame.
20. You must have a minimum of two straps, welded in the windshield area, from the cowl to the roof.
21. Suspension must be factory in front and rear. No exceptions. Must bounce. No leaf spring conversions.
22. Highly recommended 4 point cage, 4" in diameter, A-pillar to A-pillar, B-pillar to B-pillar, and from bar to bar on the inside of the doors. Cage cannot be welded to the frame. A roll bar is highly recommended.
23. Roof signs mandatory 20X20.
24. Maximum of 3 returns through inspection. NO EXCEPTIONS!!!
25. May have one rear window bar 2X2 square tubing or pipe, or 3”wide X 3/8” thick flat bar. May attach no further than 6” on roof and within 3” of where trunk meets speaker deck.
26. If this car does not meet this rules, or you stretch a rule, it will NOTrun in the stock class, it will be moved to run in the regular adult compact heat, or not permitted to run.
27. Official’s decisions are final!

Two Man Truck Team
1. Any American made 2 wheel drive or 4 wheel drive pickup truck, blazer, SUV, suburban, or full size van, may be ran.
2. If 4 wheel drive, you must remove either front or rear drive shaft, your choice.
3. Factory tanks must be removed and not reused inside bed, and replaced with a fuel cell or steel type boat tank, this must be located in the bed of the truck, in the center, directly behind the cab. Must be securely fastened and covered. No factory fuel tanks permitted. Gas tank protectors are permitted.
4. Battery must be relocated to passenger side of the cab, and be securely fastened to the floor and covered.
5. All trucks must have working brakes prior to, and during the event.
6. You must have a 4 point cage, A-pillar to A-pillar, B-pillar to B-pillar, and from bar to bar on the inside of the doors. You must also have a roll over bar. (THIS IS MANDATORY.) You may have 4 down legs running straight down from cage to frame. You can have front kickers running from dash bar to behind A arms. 2X2 square tubing. (Can have kickers for 2 or 4 wheel drive trucks)
7. Any engine can be run. (D.P. cradles are allowed.)
8. Tailgates and doors must be chained, wired, or welded shut. Tailgates may be welded to bumper.
9. Bed and cab mounts may be replaced with up to 1” bolts, and 3” washers. Body may bolted solid.
10. No trailer hitches, or reinforcement of the frame or body will be permitted.
11. You may use factory car bumpers, brackets, and shocks.
12. Hoods must be in place, and have a minimum of a 12” hole cut over carburetor.
13. Hoods may be wired in 6 places or bolted in 4 places (not to exceed 1 inch diameter bolts and 3 inch washers).
14. Hoods must be opened during inspection.
15. Tires must be stock size for trucks. No restrictions on tread pattern. Double tires, and valve stem protectors permitted. No screws, split rims, or wheel weights permitted.
16. Beds must be welded to cab of truck directly behind doors. 2 extra bed mounts permitted on bed only (not to exceed 1 inch diameter bolts and 3 inch washers).
17. All glass, plastic, fiberglass, chrome molding, door handles, mirrors, ect., must be removed.
18. No broken glass in doors.
19. All flammable materials must be removed, such as, carpets, upholstery, head liners, and back seats.
20. All objects in bed area, including spare tire, rims, and parts, need to be removed.
21. Vehicle must be swept clean of any loose objects inside the vehicle, and inside the back.
22. All of this MUST be removed before arriving at the event.
23. 4 double strands of wire is permitted from core support to front bumper.
24. Front and rear suspension may be welded solid. Does not have to bounce. May use 1 inch diameter all-thread in place of shocks.
25. Screw in coil spring blocks may be used in front coil springs.
26. Must have 2 windshield straps welded from the cowl to the roof.
27. Three straps or a welded screen is suggested on the rear window.
28. You must have a minimum of 2 safety straps on the drive shaft.
29. Drivers door may be reinforced on the outside with ½’’ plate or angle iron, this is not to exceed 6” past the door.
30. Tucking and wedging permitted. Bed sides may be welded to bed floors using a 5” on 5” off pattern. 3” X 3” X ¼” plate. If wedging a suburban you must cut a 12” X 12” hole in center so we can see inside.
31. On pre-run trucks, you may fix frame damage. (must be visible frame damage) Up to 6 spots. You can use 4” wide X 4” long X ¼” thick flat plate. One plate per fix. Body tears may be fixed with 1/8” flat plate, only fix the tear, do not plate the whole body or you will cut.
32. Maximum 9 leafs. Must be stock leaf springs. No flat plate. You may invert leafs to make flat leafs. 4 clamps per leaf pack. They do not have to be stair step.
33. Stock frames only, no plating frames or bodies. C-channel frames may be boxed in from cradle forward using ¼” plate.
34. All official’s decisions are final.

2015 Youth Compact Class
1. ALL CARS MUST REMAIN STOCK UNLESS OTHERWISE NOTED ON THESE RULES!!
2. You must comply with all safety and general rules. (Must be 12-16 years old without a drivers license)
3. Types of cars
a. Any FWD car with 109” wheel base MAX!
b. Must be 4 or 6 cylinder
c. NO rear wheel drive cars!
4. Car preparations
a. All glass, plastic, fiberglass, chrome molding, door handles, mirrors, etc. must be removed.
b. All flammable material must be removed, such as carpet, headliners, and back seats.
c. Only one battery is allowed. Battery must be mounted on passenger floor board or behind passenger seat and covered.
d. Original gas tank must be removed and cannot be reused inside of the car. Must mount a metal boat tank or fuel cell in center of backseat area and must be covered.
5. Cages
a. 4 point cage is MANDATORY!!! Maximum 4” square, round, or C-channel permitted.
b. Halo bar must mount to rear seat bar or side bars and must run straight up and over roof.
c. 4 square mounting plates for cage are allowed. MAX size 8” X 8” X ¼”
d. One gas tank protector is allowed. 24” wide MAX. May have two down legs off protector to floor sheet metal.
e. Cage may be gusseted. (These are kids’ cars so please weld them in good)
f. Must have two safety straps from roof to cowl or dash bar.
g. May have a MAX of two rear window bars. MAX size 2” square or round pipe or 3” wide 3/8” flat plate. Can be welded at a MAX of 6” on roof and 6” within deck lid/speaker deck seam.
h. We will allow anything within the driver’s compartment. Please call with any questions.
6. BODY
a. All doors may be welded solid using 3”X 3” X ¼” plate.
b. No inner body seam welding.
c. Both front doors must be reinforced with ¼” plate.
d. Hoods must have 8” X 8” hole opening. May bolt around opening using 3/8” bolts max.
e. Trunks and tailgates may be welded solid using 3” X 3” X ¼” plate.
f. NO tucking or wedging allowed.
g. Rear quarters must remain at factory height
h. May dip trunk down 6” max, but the quarters cannot be moved. Center of trunk cannot be more than 6” below quarters.
i. Must have an 8” X 8” hole in trunk lid. May bolt around opening using 3/8” bolts max.
j. Body line creasing is allowed.
k. Wheel lips can be cut and folded (cannot be welded) MAY bolt wheel lips using four 5/8” bolts.
l. Sheet metal patching for rust is allowed, but must be factory thickness (Call first)
7. Solid suspension is allowed. (Cars do not have to bounce) (Call with questions)
8. Bumpers
a. Any year car bumper is allowed. NO homemade bumpers.
b. NO LOADED BUMPERS!!
c. May seam weld the bumper, but all factory holes must remain open.
d. May have an 8” bumper shock 2” X 2” square or round.
e. May have an 8” X 8” X 3/8” plate for mounting bumpers.
9. Wheels and tires
a. Any tread design and any ply tire is allowed.
b. Screwed, glued, doubled, tripled, and foam filled tires allowed.
c. Valve stem guards, rim guards, bead locks, side wall protectors and solid wheels allowed.
10. NO PLATING FRAMES!!
11. A parent or guardian is required with a valid driver’s license or picture ID. There will be a notary present the day of the show to notarize consent and a minor release form.
12. A parent or an adult MUST ride with the driver of the car during the heart.
13. IF IT’S NOT STATED IN THE AVOVE RULES, DON’T JUST DO IT!! EXCESSIVE WELDING WILL RESULT IN EXCESSIVE CUTTING! IF NOT SURE ABOUT SOMETHING, PLEASE CALL FIRST!!!

2015 MINI VAN RULES

e. One battery allowed (any size) must be mounted on passenger floor board.

a. Four point cage, maximum size 4” square, round, or C-channel.

c. Halo bar must run straight up and over roof.

d. A 6” X 6” x 3/8” plate may be used for mounting bumper.
8. Doors
a. Doors may be welded, wired, or banded shut.
b. Welded doors 3” X 3” X ¼” plate using a 5” on 5” off pattern.
c. Wire or banding in only 4 spots.
d. USE ONLY ONE OF THOSE THREE WAYS
9. Suspension
a. All suspension must remain stock!
b. All van MUST bounce
10. Hoods and Back doors
a. #9 wire may be used on hoods and back doors. May wire in 4 spots.
11. Wheels and Tires
a. Any tread and ply tire is allowed.
b. Valve stem protectors are allowed.
c. NO bead locks or solid wheels.

Pro Class Rules

9. Hoods may be wired in 6 places or bolted in 4 places, not to exceed 1” diameter bolts, or 3” washers. Hoods need to have a 12” x 12” hole cut in it over the carburetor. Hood latches must be removed. Hood must cover cooling fan, unless electric. Hoods must be opened for inspection. Bolting of cut outs permitted, (10) 3/8” bolts and washers. Front 2 bolts may run all the way through core support and frame.
10. Trunks may be tucked or wedged. Trunks may be welded solid outside and inside, 3" wide X 1/4" thick. All body seams, inside and out may be welded. 11. Original gas tank must be removed, and may not be reused inside car. A boat type tank or fuel cell must be placed in the center of the back seat, or directly behind the driver. Gas tank protectors are permitted but cannot exceed 24“wide. Gas tank must be covered with a flame resistant material. No plastic tanks permitted.
12. If using an electric fuel pump, there must be an electric shut off switch within reach of driver, clearly marked on/off, for safety officials.
13. The battery must be moved to the passenger side floor, and be mounted securely in place, and covered. (battery box suggested)
14. Must have 2 safety straps in windshield area, and 2 on rear windshield area, from cowl to roof. You may also use #9 wire. 3/8” x 3” strap or 2” x 2” pipe suggested.
15. Roof signs mandatory. 20 X 20. Must be securely bolted.
16. Any year, front car bumper is permitted. Bumpers may be welded to mounts and frame. Bumper seams may be welded, and ends trimmed. No homemade bumpers. Maximum bumper height 22", measurement will be taken from ground to bottom of bumper. Bumpers may be loaded.
17. Any year, back car bumper is permitted. Bumpers may be welded to mounts and frame. No homemade bumpers! Minimum bumper height 15", measurement will be taken from ground to bottom of bumper.
18. Wheel wells may be cut or rolled and bolted.
19. 4 point cage mandatory, A-pillar to A-pillar and B-pillar to B-pillar, and from bar to bar on the inside of the doors. A roll bar is mandatory.
20. You may change the body bolts, with a maximum of 1” diameter bolt, with 3” washers. This may be bolted solid. Bolts can travel through the bottom of the frame.
21. Front suspension may be welded solid. You may change out new style A arms for old ones. Car does NOT have to bounce. May have after market A arms and spindles.
22. If converting from coil springs to leaf, the following standards must be met; A maximum of 9 leaf springs. Leafs may be inverted or flat leaf. Driver’s choice. No stair step required. Leafs may be plug welded. 2 clamps front and 2 rear. Welded shackles permitted. 1” all thread permitted in place of shocks. If changing coils to leafs, all control arms must be removed and coils removed. 23. Frames may be plated with ¼” metal. Bodies may be plated with 1/8” metal. All frame seams may be welded. No covering tires and wheels with metal.
24. Tires and rims 7.50-16 maximum size. May be doubled, glued, or tubed. Valve stem protectors permitted. No restriction on tread patterns or tire ply ratings. Bead locks allowed, may screw tires to rims.
25 A. Motor of choice permitted. Distributor Protectors are allowed, nothing that attaches to the engine can be wider than the stacks i.e. dist. protector, engine cradles, etc. You may have two chains no longer than 18" attached to motor and up to 4 links welded to frame. All chain links can be welded.
25 B. Coolers are optional, may be mounted behind seat. Must use transmission line for coolers. Gas line will not be allowed. Floor shifters are allowed. Burp tube must be installed over dipstick and rooted to the ground to prevent fires. Transmission may be secured by chain, #9 wire or stock mount. Cross member mounts must be within 12" of factory location. A skid plate may be used from oil pan to the transmission pan, this may not attach to anything else and be no wider than 16".
26. Kicker Rule – Nothing bigger than 3X3 square tubing. Front kickers may run from dash bar to A arms and from A arms to front bumper. Rear kickers may run from back bar to humps and from humps to rear bumper. ABSOLUTELY NO KICKERS FROM ROLL OVER BAR TO BUMPERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THIS WILL BE ENFORCED. 27. You may modify tie rods and control arms.
28. You may clip pre ran cars (can be any make or model.)
29. 2003 and newer frame rule: on new style cars with the aluminum cradles, you may switch these out with 80 and newer steel cradles. They must be put in like the factory counterparts, only using the factory brackets, no other metal may be added. They must be in factory location and cannot be moved forward. You may use a 3" spacer from the bottom of the frame to lower A-arm where the spring goes, you may not alter frame in any manner other than attaching factory brackets with a single bead of weld. You cannot make homemade spring pockets.
30. Any rear end allowed 5 or 8 lug. Rear end braces are allowed.
31. Sedgon’s are allowed.
32. All officials decisions are final.
