In the pits, the seat saving was terrible. Almost all seats had blankets on them by Saturday morning. I hope that this is not allowed this year. Here's what you do at 3 PM on Saturday go to the stands if there are blankets with no one on them fold them up and set them on the corner of the bleachers and there is your seat. There is no reserved seating it's first come first serve and to be your seat you must be setting in it an empty blanket is not an occupied seat. Until you have to deal with a drunk redneck calling you everything but a white man threatening to whoop your a$$ and no cops in sight

Some what true. We are going to open the infield on Friday we want the derbyparts.com and the derbytees.com class cars in the infield as much as we can. The reasoning is you guys run on both days and communication will be easier. As always nothing other than trucks and trailers and tool trucks will be permitted to park in infield ( a jack and a tire does not make it a tool truck )This year we can use the horse track for parking if needed. We might not be able to get all of you in the infield but the more we can will make it easier on all of us. So does this mean we need an extra camp site to park our truck and trailer if we aren't running the big classes ?

We come there and spend $400-500 on camping and passes for the whole family. If we want to put blankets down to go back to our campsite and enjoy some family time......please don't remove my blanket.

Well some of us travel over 10+ hours one way and don't wanna miss the derby because someone wants their blankets to watch the show instead of people. Want ur seat then sit down and watch the show.

Unless you have nothing to lose, being 6'4" 300+ lbs will hold no weight if you get into a altercation. the American justice system is FUBAR and the responsible one (you) will be held accountable 9/10 times. Not saying you will be convicted based on witness testimony but the process could be long and drug out in the court system; costing you attn. fees, time away from work Etc. And IF the individual has been diagnosed with some type of mental disorder, they will play this token in their defense and the system will run with it. To put this into perspective I will give you a real life example.
I work for the Dept. of Corrections. My coworker was leaving work and stopped to get gas before driving home. A individual that paroled the morning before, approached the c/o and begin causing a scene. The c/o simple held his cool and told the guy to move on. The guy then pulled a tire-iron out of his pants. He then approached the c/o in a threating matter. The c/o sprayed gas in the guys face and hit him "2" times. The police were called and they later picked the guy up and took him into custody. "they did not arrest the c/o based on video tape and witnesses." The court date is held later that week for assault. The cops are then put on the spot and asked WHY wasn't the c/o arrested for assault. The rebuttal was simple. "he was defending himself" and this was proven by video tape and witnesses. The judge and defense att. did not care. The c/o was then charged for disturbance in a public place. Long story short: the C/O spend large sums of money and missed several days of work based on continuances. This was a 11 month affair, based on a "irresponsible person" threating a "responsible person." the court system likes holding the responsible person in accountability for their actions.
Relating to Bash. The system will see you for the responsible person, and will bust your balls.

As jadavis said, I'm driving down 3-4 hours to watch. I'm sure as heck am not driving that far just to stand. If you want to make sure you have your seat, sit in it like the rest of us do. Guess what? My son will be with me too. I'll be enjoying family time with them in the stands.
