Shorten the front end if possible of not use aslong of a bumper shock as allowed. Pre bending is a must on these cars. Personally i pre bend right im filler neck area. Very hard car with right set of rules

When you pre bend do you cut frame bend and reweld or heat up with a torch then bend. I cut my cutlass but didnt reweld rear went up and in really nice but wasnt much strength there due to the frame not being solid first hit it was in all the way.

First hit all the way in is better than 2nd hit all the way down.

True. I was thinking about running some all thread or 9 wire from roof to frame in the rear as well.

Yup my 80's fairmont futura went straight down too in a chain and go. I would highly recommend never running the straight six in these either could never get speed up to make any good hits

The 200 isn't a monster, but they've never given me problems from lack of power.

A big sledgehammer is all we use to prebend for stock shows, put big dimple in frame then in deck lid over top that seems to do the trick, creasing seems to help pack in aswell

The 3.8s run pretty decent. But if its got aluminum heads they dont take heat real well will blow headgaskets pretty easy. Oil filter is in front so when it starts to snoot up the sway bar can hit it

Just got a Granada with the 8.8 under it. I know they are c-clip which isn't ideal, but right now I don't really have another rear-end to put under it. For compacts will the 8.8 hold up "ok" or do I need to look for an 8" or 9" or something? Yes, they hold up pretty well. Of course, if you do happen to break an axle, you know what happens.
