Don't see how this car is the worst car. The things you stated are small things. Could have been helped with running a hand throttle and running an inline fuel pump.

Not saying it's the worst car ever just one of the worst I've ever ran. Not allowed hand throttles and pump was stock in tank under car, never thought it would dislodge it's self inside

I'd just get a high pressure pump from a ford truck. I'll never go back to running an in tank fuel pump. I got mine from a salvage yard, but they are also fairly cheap new as well.

Don't blame the car, any car with stock tank/pump can have that problem. A lot of those cars have plastic clamps on the short rubber hose from the pump to the sending unit. The throttle cable is just part of derby, can happen to any car with a stock cable and there's steps to prevent that too. Invest in a small tank to put inside the car, fewer problems that can take you out of a derby and safer too. I have a fuel cell for inside but where I ran this promoter doesn't allow anything but stock tank in stock location. Thinking I will definitely start running an inline pump. The throttle cable problem in the first run was from a head on with a Vic, his bumper went over mine and pushed my rad support back to the engine along with the stock air filter box (never leaving that in a car again) which broke the plastic tab off that held the cable. After the derby was over I put it back on and drove off. Live and learn I guess

Yea I learned a lot from that car. To be fair to the car it was a bone stock show and I did some stupid shit. If rules let you do some building I think they would be decent cars. Don't think I would build another one though lol
