So what would be the best thing to keep the motor running at a top with a lot of heat? Besides the temp sensor? A carb and lots of money spent on a motor with proper clearances and valve train. Sorry, you gotta pay to play. you don't see the big car boys running a hour heat with a bone stock SBC either. Sent from my C771 using Tapatalk 2

so why would you come on here then? We may not all be on the top tier of the sport but some of us are willing to help each other out with what they experience. One thing I have learned in 10 years of demoing is to not say anything more to you after this, no matter what your response is, don't want thread cluttered with poo talk as you would say.

They need power to be grounded of that makes any sense... they already have a power source correct? or is that why the hotwire is needed

Here is the easiest way to do it. Go buy a Chiltons manual and it has the schematic in the back of the book...

I'm currently going through my first 3100. I was going to eliminate as many plugs as possible, i.e., removed EGR valve and leave it disconnected...stuff like that. What all HAS to be hooked up and will not make it go into limp mode? is the water temp sensor the only one that puts it in limp mode? I know you need the TPS, MAP, injectors, coils...anything else? I was debating removing the O2 sensor wiring, knock sensor...few others... What is the plug underneath the crank pulley?

Dont quote me for sure on this but I am 90% sure that for 90-94 luminas you do not need any wires running to the tranny to make it shift. The big plug on the top is the neutral switch for the starter and I dont think that any other wires are needed if you hot wire your ignition.
