Does it make a difference on which way you do the trunk if your rules won't allow allthread through the frame and top of the trunk?

I think it would depend on what kind of car.

I'm not too worried about blowing the humps apart, I'm allowedto run a chain from one hump to the other keeping them from blowing apart

Just curious, I know what tucking and canoeing and what not is, but im confused as to what wedging is. Is it just tucking but then beating the back part of the quarters down flat right behing the tuck?
Also, with the canoeing, When is it a good idea? for instance, my rules i run allow us to weld the trunk shut solid with 3x1/4 flat and we are allowed to remove the rear speaker deck and allowed to put allthread through the rear body mounts up through the trunk lid, but do not allow us to hump plate on anything except metric chevys, and no leafing coil cars, and no rear window bar. The canoeing looks like it would be too strong to me. Ive seen people do it but i am worried if i try it, i will be ploweing dirt.
Would canoeing the trunk on a mid 70s delta 88 work or is that too strong for their rear? all ive seen with them is tucking. picked up a 74 delta 88 and would be interested in trying something different.

wedging is where you smash the trunk and quarters down to tie everything together...some people call them "ramps" because they think the purpose is to flip people, but they're just misinformed just imagine it not being prerun with the trunk flat(Dan's car is the only pic i know of off the top of my head without having to search). IMO you can canoe pretty much any car...you just have to know how and where to make the trunk bend/pack.

I like to wedge. I take the trunk get it to where it barely will fit down to the floor behind rear panel behind bumper. Weld it to floor. Beat the quarters over on trunk lid and weld it all

How do some of u guys have the trunk all the way down with the speaker deck cut out but doesn't look like there's a dent or anything on it? I've done mine with a sledge so it never comes out good.

When dishing the trunk,do you weld anything before you go to town with you sledge hammer? or just start hitting it in certain places? I plan on doing this to a 93 town car want to leave speaker deck in also! or what would be great is a how to video on this topic.

Front frame is done and built now got to work on humps and the ......... On the back frame rails. The car probably won't pass for where it's goin but I'll give it a shot. The place don't know anything bout new models or how to tech so should go in but who knows. I know it won't pass marvells derby or piggotts. I've got 30 hours or so in frame work
