Ya if you take your time with one it will be a hard car. The fronts are short and stout once you compensate for the dip up front, I wouldn't be afraid to take one of these against newer fords or older GMs

Come on Sceared......... look at all the pics on the build thrad for galaxies...... doing mine a little different to pass TBTC rules for brackets...... but still should eliminate the weakness in front of the a arms.

could always bolt some BOP rear brackets on the front.... but my favorite is Caddi rear brackets

74-76 they are long, thick and the design of th top halfs make them a step above other rear brackets IMO

I would definitely fix it...... doesnt take much to rip the taillight panel away from the trunk floor and with rusty quarters it will be to the allthread quick which then makes the back a mess. For the 30 minutes it takes to fix quarters why not do if it you dont mind me asking. I haven't decided what show to run it in, and thew rules dictate what i can do to them, so the importance of the fix will help determine what show I build it for.

I was planning on mounting a 10 bolt bia housing under a 64 Galaxie, will it be too wide or stick out past the fender wells a bunch. I would measure myself but with everything buried under the snow it makes it difficult.

It's actually not the pine straw is just built up around it there are a few pin holes in trunk and pass side floor but that's it ill get more pics this week

10 bolt should fit, I've used a big rearend out of a suicide Lincoln in these cars and gms(roundy) and fit well.

Needing som advice... im wanting to take a car for metal mayhems bone stock class... i may have a 63 or 64 monterey lined up... would it be worth the drive 2 illinois or do i need 2 keep looking?

You would break my little heart in the process. I would get this car for a weld class. I'm guessing you couldn't mount the bumper adequately or enforce the steering and suspension up front to make it worth your while.
