If you are running a HEI all you need is one wire from the battery as your hot and one from your distrubuter. Then just twist the two together to complete the circuit when you want to start the motor. When you want to shut it off un twist the wires. I don't like wrapping two wires together. When you need to rip them apart, it can be a pain in the ass. Plus, if they are lose, they keep popping off. It takes 2 minutes to put a male/female connector on there but I guess people would rather piss around with finding wires to wrap together while getting hit. ;D

How do male/female connectors fail? It's just a way to connect the wires without having to wrap. You continue to wrap your wires and be the guy out there constantly having to restart his care because his HEI wire came unwrapped, I'll stick to my male/female connectors.

Don't know how they will break. To break them would take enough force that it would probably rip it out of the HEI and/or rip the wires in half anyway. In addition, you put a new set on once the old set feels like it's getting "sloppy" so it's a nice, tight connection.
You can do it however you want, but I, for one, prefer not to sit and dick with wires after every big hit.

Iv seen people run althread throught the trunk and through frame what is the advatage to doing that..... It keeps the frame and body from separating, and it keeps the trunk lid from bowing up
