Thanks, my rules don't say anything about it. But last time the back two bolts that go into the subframe ripped out, causing my motor to drop on the ground is that something that people normally do on a midsize car?

You can but I would also incorporate solid body mounts made from steel pipe to get rid of the rubbber ones if rules allow

For midsize the rules say steel or wood battery boxes? Just wondering why you can't use plastic?

6. New style Ford crush boxes. This is the passenger side thus the rust where the AC condenser was at otherwise the frame was immaculate. Take a bottle jack or some type of jack and put it up under the crush box. Jack it until you have the desired height. I used a cut off saw to cut the tabs off. It doesn't need to be pretty. On the front side of the box engine side. That tab was cut also. I just used a hammer and chisel to separate it from the front frame rails. I basically cut everything except for the bottom of crush box. Some rules state you can only cut the front tab. The you would approach it more of a cold bending style with the tilt. Take something heavy so that the front of the frame won't go in the air. I prefer tractor and loader. Then take a jack and jack up the box under where the tab was cut. Once you have you have your desired height reweld everything. It's more of a personal preference on how far you tilt. This is the first time I have ever seen this post and I have never heard this before. It may make me sound like a idiot and I am very new to fords but you can just cut the front tab and then bend them down and reweld them? I thought about doing this because mine is bent right there and the body is on the frame so I can just cut the front tab that would be great. Cut the front tab, straighten frame and then weld it back up and throw a plate on it.

Right now with my body on it would be hard to cut the whole box but if I can just cut that front tab then bend the frame down and weld it back up and throw a plate over it that would be sweet.

I guess you could try tab, bottom and back. And tilt it that way should be able to weld all that back. Im not sure just the tab will give you the tilt advantage.

Not allowed to tilt so can't make it super obvious. Main reason I'm doing it is the way it is bent.
