I never could find anything about the Wyco KS fair derby... but I went... the new fairgrounds is pretty cool, with the derby area in a natural bowl... Wyco needs to fix the access to it though... I sat out on Hwy 7 for an hour trying to get in... made me late into the arena to watch, and I got there plenty early. That's unsatisfactory! 2 lanes dirt road for most of a mile... 3 miles of traffic... Then just when the final was gettin' good, the drivers all got out and had a fist fight in the center of the arena... I have never seen that happen before- I went to a derby and a hockey game broke out... fans didn't get their money's worth, and the drivers didn't get paid... anybody get the lesson drivers? This is very unsatisfactory! there was a lot of mad rednecks including this one. Stay in the car and hit the guy... Yes he hit you in the driver's door... he should have been thrown out. But to have the derby cancelled during the feature was nuts... and to the promoter... I will find out who you are and avoid your events... $15 total to get in, and you couldn't keep the drivers under control... bad fung shwei dude. You won't get drivers if you don't run a fair show... costs too much to build a car these days.
Then I went to Paola the next nite, and only 4 cars showed up... y'all ruined my whole weekend. That's the best way for derby to go away is to disappoint the fans... we don't come and pay, and nobody plays... I drive to pert near every derby within a 3 hour drive to see y'all tear stuff up... I ain't payin gas plus parking and entry to see a fist fight... y'all better get your crap in a bunch... and you on the fair boards, ask Miami Co how much money they lost this year... I won't be there next year in protest...
