Up front and rear etc... the 4wds if i recall are like the bare frame on the trailer, theres no crossmember. the IFS front ends have a cross member in them however as for how to mount a sbc in one.... i built this- i never ran it however

steering boxes are the same as what a 78 chevy truck is but you need to change the pitman arm and add the adaptor plate (on a non straight axle truck) the IH pitman arm drops down farther than the chevy one, if not swapped it will hit the frame-

so far its mainly been my motor that was my week link.
what put mine out- -hung up then rad blew and dist got wet (hardin 08) -won (griggsville 09) -master cyl cap popped off caused my 1st fire in 10 years (p. hill 09) - had wireing trouble then a dead battery (oregon ill FB 09) -broke steering box (hardin 09)
i think i ran it another time or 2 but i cant remember what happened
the tail gaite is personal prefrence IMO

Do you know if a mid 70s dodge 3/4 rotors would work on the front to get rid of the 5 on 5 drum I know guys that run the 60s ford and dodge 5 bolts are ripping the studs out or ripping the center of the rim out
