I think you on the right track. Now whats that gonna cost? However, i took last night and went by my rod shops to see if i could stirr something up and did. Sounds like last fall a few companies finally came out with a offset flywheel, 10 inch clutch, shimable throw out bearing but still lack a pilot bushing of some sort. Very in the stock (400 hp) range. Heard it was about $5-600. Im not going to throw out any names yet, maybe this afternoon when I find out all the facts, dont wanna give the wrong info.

Been getting a million questions about the programable boxes and where to put the timing curve at. YOU MUST PROGRAM THE BOX BEFORE YOU RACE IT OR IT WILL RUN LIKE shoot AND MOST LIKELY BURN UP A PISTON. The factry settings are about 50 degrees @ 2000 and run like hell. I've done it, i know. Click and drag in the graph when you save a file for your car. Then send to car. Make the graph look like this. Stop it at about 33 degrees. They will take more but stock stuff has no gain above this point. They just dont like the timing. Attachments:

Well I've already got the ls flywheel wheel so there's a nice chunk off things. The clutch being built shouldn't be no more than $300. As for the throwout bearing I'm not sure, haven't looked, if you know of any good companies that sell extended ones that would be great. As of the pilot bushing I don't know if they make extra long ones for a ls motor might have to fab one up. Now on to programming....the kit that comes off summit, is that what your talking about those boxes? Do they send something to download on your laptop?

Just found a thread on ls1tech, guy did a 4spd muncie. Day motorsports sells the extended pilot bushing for like 10 bucks. Apparently there is two different bore sizes in the crank, larger towards the outside where you could put a bearing and smaller to the inside where you could put a bushing....

So I think I have it figured out....I'm gonna have 10 spline clutch built to fit the 13" ls flywheel, and run a longer pilot bushing with an extended throwout bearing. That should make up for the .650 difference and leave the flywheel in its stock location....? ive been talking to some guys at the performance shop down my way but they are more old school stuff, where you getting your help at with yours blake, lmk thanks, just pm or txt me

since that graph is so bad, ill spell it out
0 0 1000 16 2000 24 3000 30 4000 33 5000 33 6000 33 7000 33 8000 33
Its not a linear deal, you can have more timing sooner at the bottom due to excess fuel from acc pumps and power valves.

Well I guess when the time comes ill give it a whirl. Don't see any reason why it wouldn't. Only thing is you said it takes a bit to adjust a 4brrl to them, e85 will be even worse lol

it sounds to me like thats just the regular extended one for a old sbc, you have to have it for running a dp with manual, or racecar guys have to use it when using a midplate
