on the corolla's they go up and in, have never had to notch, dimple or prebend one. Had a 90 corolla and it went down, the bumper ended up under the back wheels. We welded the lid in 6 spots (I think it was the wrong spots, but i was my cousins car). I would tuck the trunk and maybe pre-bend a bit. Can't hurt

Corolla trunks bend just fine in the back without modification. just tuck it to keep the decklid out of your rear view. My take on creasing doesn't change with the class of car....over-rated, unless you are creating a new seam to weld. X2 I agree completely...tuck and run.

Can't hurt we didn't weld decklid, just wired, 2 spots on the sides.

i'm building a 91 camry wagon, im going to squeeze my 2.4l pt cruiser engine in it, since i know the motor and it's already wired up and all. i am looking for some ideas on how to do the rear wagon part of the car. i've got the frt end and cage pretty much lined out on what i want to do there, just not sure on the rear..

i have been running fwd cars for 5 years now we ran two toyotas this year 94 camry and 95 avalon the avalon had a solid rearend bent up real nice, definately want to put a strong bumper on the front and weld angle iron or c channel behind the struts on rear and front, helps so you dont break tie rods, or get your wheels locked up, we always weld the struts solid in the rear to set it at a good height. push in/cut out the section for the donut helps with strength and bending. my avatar is the camry i used my front alittle to much but the rearend was real solid folded in nicely
