I bought a 79 cougar for the 9" in it. It measures 56" and the capri measures 53 1/2" so it should fit for the most part right?

Obviously, you'll have to move some mounts around. 2.5" ain't bad at all. But if it looks like it jutts out too far, Use Jeep/Eagle or Lumina wheels to offset the difference...or Celebrity type wheels if you want 14's

How might one fix a hatch back to get it to go up? Or what all needs to be done? Able to do just about anything.

you dont need to notch a hatch back just leave it alone it will go up on its own .. notching is for a "NOTCH" back not a HATCH back

You don't need to notch any of them a dimple on the frame is plenty

The hatches are unpredictable w/o a lil help. I've had them go both ways. This is the product of no hatch, no bumper and dimples (no notch). Several full and half track shots.
