This can be the sticky for this topic. I'm sure it will fill up fast enough. Here's one of the Dura Spark pics I saved.

I know there's a couple more already floating around on here. Whoever posted them should repost them here.

knappy that is correct the hei is a 1 wire system so you only need a 12v power source in most caes its the easiest way to do an ignition but alot of the time finding a 2.3l hei is more head ache then worth. i posted a thread i wish c4 would sticky on its how to hard wire the TFI distrib.

Any one try the TFI set up yet? I don't like my points set up and I have everything but a good distributer for the duraspark set up. But I do have a good TFI distributer to try!

^^^I followed the instructions that used to be on here for tfi. As soon as I put battery power to it, the module popped.

I have a car that I got from a friend and it runs wired up to the TFI distributer! But I didn't know how well it would run in a derby! I will have to see how he has it wired up.
Or could you tell me why my coil would get so hot with my points setup?

All of our coils seem to get stupid hot in our points setups. I was told there needs to be a resistor inline of the power to the coil. Too many amps getting to the coil maybe?

Depends on the coil. But yes stock coils need a resistor with that set up.
