U have to cut the.fire wall right above the.brace that runs across it.

it is possible to get trany protector in without cutting tunnel and firewall, but it is a b!itch !! I am currently building a 75 2dr for drive for 5. Hopefully by noon tomorrow i will have motor trany welded in. no picks untill after the derby to much drama so how much of the tranny tunnel and stuff do i gotta cut out if im run a three speed with shatter proof bell housing tranny protector and dp? i got about 3-5 inchs on the drives side for my clutch cable holder and etc Simple text would of answered this question I've never ran a 3 speed but with an automatic u can't leave the transit tunnel in at all. Anybody have a.pic of a 9" mounted in a Cadillac? I've done my own before without a brace and I cut the brackets off of a Cadillac rear end but Im making my o brackets and im not sure where my bolt should b?w directly underneath the housing off to the front or the back? I guess it don't matter much as long as it goes up and down smooth?
